Norton Folgate

The three Nicholls & Clarke Buildings on the Norton Folgate stretch of Shoreditch High Street were the site for my final project while studying for the postgrad diploma in Architecture at London Metropolitan University. The white-tiled showrooms building dates from 1927. The rear of this building was built a century earlier. Nicholls & Clarke vacated the premises in 2003. Since then City Corporation has owned and operated the three buildings, regularly hiring them to photographers, film-makers and event-organisers.
